ASW People Story

As an intern, it was a bit challenging for me to quickly get up to speed on the retail industry, business operations, key legal and compliance issues, and the in-house legal team priorities and processes. It wasn’t until this internship opportunity at AS Watson that I realised that retail is in fact an industry that touches upon so many areas of law, so it was both interesting and challenging for me.

When I applied for this internship, I had a few goals in mind: to gain more industry knowledge and understanding, and to gain exposure in in-house legal work. I felt I have accomplished both. I have learnt so much during my time at AS Watson and especially how legal issues impact business objectives and operations. My most memorable experience was delivering a short presentation to the team, it was a really memorable moment, and I felt supported the whole time.
