Protecting Animal Welfare
Kruidvat and Trekpleister are delighted to be included in the Dutch Fur Free List. They have always been protecting animal welfare and had a zero-tolerance policy for products with fur. AS Watson Benelux will continue to fight for fur-free brands in the Netherlands.
Inheritance of Caring Spirit
Partnered with Hong Kong Young Women’s Christian Association, AS Watson Group celebrated its 180th anniversary with a series of volunteer activities to explore the history of Hong Kong and understand the caring culture of AS Watson. Participants learned how to make their own mini flower boards, which is one of the intangible cultural heritages in Hong Kong that has lasted for more than a hundred years.
Coastal Clean up
Watsons Taiwan held Smile for Good – Coastal Clean Up event, over 200 participants cleaned up the beach and collected 1200kg of trash, everyone picked up 6kg in average!
The coastal clean-up event had been run for 6 consecutive years, and for the first time, members and KOLs were also invited this year.

DO GOOD for the Needy
Watsons Singapore partnered with Willing Hearts for its Smile for Good 2021 activity!
Willing Hearts is a charity which operates a soup kitchen that prepares, cooks and distributes around 9,500 meals to the underprivileged in Singapore every day, including the elderly, people with disabilities, low-income families, children from single-parent families and migrant workers.
50 volunteers from Watsons Singapore office and stores helped with cutting ingredients, unloading bulky items and washing dishes. Let’s DO GOOD together!
Salute to Athletes’ Parents
Watsons Water held an award ceremony to give thanks to the parents of 3 para-athletes and donated HKD 200,000 to support the development of para-sports. In the ceremony, the athletes and their parents shared their life journey to encourage younger generation to pursue their dreams. Watsons Water is proud to be the long-term partner of the Hong Kong Paralympic Committee & Sports Association for the Physically Disabled which has made great contributions to the development of para-sports in Hong Kong.
World Alzheimer's Month
September was World Alzheimer's Month, and The Perfume Shop took this opportunity to rally behind its charity partner Alzheimer's Research UK. It raised awareness on social media and raised funds for this worthy cause. The Perfume Shop donated 50 pence for every personalised ribbon sold and a total of £84,039.02 was raised!
Two-time Olympic Medalist Sarah Lee Sparks a Flame in the Hearts of the Younger
Hong Kong athletes made history with their perseverance and strength by obtaining remarkable achievements at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games! To pass on this spirit to the younger generation, AS Watson Group Hong Kong Student Sports Awards (HKSSA) invited Sarah Lee Wai-sze, two-time Olympic Bronze medalist, to interact with the award winners.
Marathon Champions!
In support of Hong Kong Marathon, AS Watson Group kept the runners hydrated and energised with Watsons Water and our volunteer team! We are proud to announce Watsons Athletic Club’s athletes got a sweeping victory in the race! We got the Champions in Men’s 10KM Elite(Senior), Women’s 10KM Elite(Senior), Women’s 10KM Elite(Junior), Men’s Half Marathon Elite(Junior), Women’s Half Marathon Elite(Senior), and Men’s Marathon Elite(Senior).
Upcycling Workshop
Watson’s Wine co-hosted an Upcycling Workshop with Social Venture Hong Kong. Volunteers from Watson’s Wine and a group of children worked hand in hand to upcycle wooden wine boxes and glass bottles. Two upcycling artists were invited to share their ideas on how to upcycle the materials into lanterns and treasure boxes.
