Established in 1975 as a small electrical appliance shop in Fortress Hill, Fortress began with a simple mission: to bring quality products and service to customers. In 1990, Fortress became part of the AS Watson and has since continued to grow. Today, Fortress is a trusted household name, operating around 70 stores across Hong Kong and Macau, supported by over 1,000 dedicated employees.

In 2017, Fortress took a major step forward with the launch of its online store, laying the foundation for its pioneering O+O (Offline plus Online) strategy that seamlessly connects offline touchpoints with digital convenience. Today, features like the “Chat & Buy” service, ongoing online store enhancements, Click & Collect, and a trade-in platform offer customers greater flexibility, speed, and personalised service anytime, anywhere.

Fortress believes better living goes beyond technology - it’s about creating a healthier, more sustainable community. Guided by its social purpose “Living Better Together”, Fortress promotes green living through energy-saving initiatives and recycling programmes. In partnership with organisations like Caritas Computer Workshop and V Cycle, it implements schemes for recycling laptop, electronics, and power banks. These efforts reduce e-waste and support digital inclusion, reinforcing its commitment to a more sustainable future for all.
Celebrating 50 Years with Gratitude
To mark its 50th anniversary, Fortress has launched a city-wide celebration featuring marketing campaigns, in-store activations, and exclusive member promotions. The brand recently hosted the Better Living Awards to honour the valued partnerships that have fuelled its growth. A new brand mascot “ForteBee” was also unveiled, representing Fortress’s spirit of innovation, sustainability, and community.
