As a project leader of MyStore, I’m responsible for the project of cloud store in Mainland China. The most exciting thing about my job is the project results and knowing that what I do helps to grow the business.

As a woman, a career in IT is a journey of freedom and great equality. I was really lucky to land a job with Watson China because I’m never alone, my colleagues are always standing behind me as a team. As society is progressing, more women are working in IT, and it is really becoming a trend now. I guess it’s because women are very good at logical thinking and communication, so we can handle this job very well! It helps that I also work for a company that really supports women in building their careers in IT.

In terms of my work, sometimes I have to face difficult decisions such as how to balance performance and the user experience. But apart from technical know-how, being good at listening and always putting myself in our customers’ shoes helps me a lot.

I believe that to perform well in IT, you have to love your job and always have a positive attitude. So, ladies, my advice to you is: just be yourself, this is our time, show up!
