According to the data released by the Korea Customs Service and Korea Cosmetic Association, South Korean cosmetics exports climbed 16.1% to reach nearly USD7.6 billion in 2020 despite the pandemic. In addition, latest research forecasts that the market size of K-Beauty will continue to grow at CAGR 9% from 2021 to 2027*.

Wellbeing Campaign

To promote wellbeing awareness, PARKnSHOP Hong Kong kicked off a Wellbeing Campaign with a series of activities in September 2021. The leadership team demonstrated stretching exercises at the office and all staff were given a stretching brand to exercise together. A Fruit, Healthy Snack & Drink Booth was also set up to encourage colleagues to build healthy eating habits.

AS Watson Group organised the Project LOL Elderly Visit, a highlighting activity of Smile for Good 2021, sharing love and smiles with 2,000 singleton elderly in Hong Kong. With the support of colleagues from PARKnSHOP, Watsons, FORTRESS, Watson’s Wine and Watsons Water, the elderly enjoyed a wonderful time filled with love, joy and happiness.

New Sustainable Store

Superdrug opened a new sustainable store in Peterborough Serpentine Green Shopping Center! The store features fully recyclable signage including graphics produced from recycled yarn and plastic bottles. Its ceiling tiles are made from bio-soluble mineral wool, clay and starch and are 100% recyclable. In addition, the number of LED Mod lights in the ceiling is reduced by 20% and the store has a waste management target of 5% to landfill.

Kruidvat has launched a fun and innovative TV commercial to promote its Exclusive Brand products. The new TV commercial tells the story about how a single mother takes care of her 3 kids with Kruidvat’s Exclusive Brand products. It’s an interesting story to show Kruidvat is offering a wide range of Exclusive Brand products, from toothbrush to supplements, to meet the needs of the whole family.

Building a Greener World

In an effort to raise students’ awareness in environmental protection, PARKnSHOP’s Green School Programme invites all primary schools and special schools to apply for funding for the projects of sustainable farming, energy efficiency, waste reduction and recycling. Since 2013, over 580 green projects have been funded, giving students wonderful opportunities to learn about sustainability in practice.
